The old and new merge into one another forming a complete harmony of which light, air and ease is dominating and where native materials still is placed into the foreground. Why don’t we let our two architects Richard Winkel and Bernd Frick describe their concept: Straight lines and authentic architecture characterize the appearance of the building and generate tension between the Bregenzerwölder house and the hotel contemporary hotel complex. The old and the new in perfect harmony. Floating transitions emerge through the openness from the inside to the outside and vice a verse. The aim of the first draft was to sensibly incorporate the building into the village structure and respectfully handle the landscape all the river Mellenbach.
